IF YOU BUILD IT THEY WILL COME

People will come, Ray.
They'll come to Del City
for reasons they can't even fathom.
They'll turn up Sooner Road
not knowing for sure why they're doing it.
They'll arrive at the door
as innocent as children...
...longing for the past.
"Of course, we won't mind
if you look around," the greeter will say.
They'll pass over the money
without even thinking about it.
For it is money they have
and peace they like.
Then they'll walk off to the grocery dept.
...and walk in their pajamas
on a perfect afternoon.
They'll find they have wonderful treats
somewhere down the aisles...
...where they went down when they were children
and begged their parents...
...and they'll want lots of toys...
...and it will be as if they dipped
themselves in magic waters.
The screaming will be so thick...
...they'll have to brush them away
from their faces.
People will come, Ray.
The one constant through all the years,
Ray, has been shopping.
America has rolled by
like an army of steamrollers.
It's been erased like a blackboard,
rebuilt, and erased again.
But shopping has marked the time.
This stores, this money.
It's a part of our past, Ray.
It reminds us of all that once was good...
...and it could be again.
People will come, Ray
People will most definitely come.

That was fabulous! Good job. I must remember to avoid 15th and Sooner like the plague

Thanks! I was hoping people would remember that part of the movie. I've seen it a hundred times. After shopping at the old wal mart the new one is so much nicer. You would almost say it's super. The part of field of dreams when you hear the voice say ease his pain is appropriate in this case too.
